Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide prophylaxis treatments, scaling and root planing, and periodontal probing. You will evaluate patients, document oral hygiene, and assist with billing and charting for review by the dentist.

The role requires current PA dental hygiene license and CPR certification; one year of experience is preferred. Compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies is essential.

Formación

• Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene License.
• Active CPR – American Heart Association certification.

General Overview

Essential Responsibilities

• Calls the patient to confirm scheduled appointment. (5%)
• Evaluates patient, takes blood pressure, and reviews medical history prior to dental prophylaxis. (10%)
• Performs prophylaxis treatments, scaling and root planning, and periodontal probing. (65%)
• Documents overall oral hygiene in the patient chart for review by the dentist and ensures proper billing procedures. (10%)
• Explains procedure to patients/families and provides teaching instructions and or materials for home care. (10%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene License.

Preferred

• 1 year of dental hygienist experience preferred.
