Job summary

Heritage Health is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered oral care and to collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to improve access and outcomes for the community.

You will provide preventive, periodontal, and educational services within licensure scope, document treatment plans, and support patients transitioning to the scheduling team. A collaborative, growth-oriented environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental hygienist program.
• Active Idaho dental hygienist license.
• BLS certification.
• Must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• 1 year of work experience as a dental hygienist preferred.
• Previous experience working with under-served population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove tartar, stains, and plaque from teeth.
• Perform scaling, root planing, and polishing per dentist instruction.
• Apply and administer local anesthetic agents as needed.
• Administer fluoride treatment.
• Apply sealants to protect teeth.
• Take diagnostic x-rays and document findings.
• Update medical history and treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care.
• Maintain infection control procedures and sterilization.
• Document patient records accurately and completely.
• Coordinate with dental team and medical providers.
