Job summary

Arrow Dental Clinic in Eugene, OR seeks a full-time Dental Hygienist to promote dental health by performing prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, radiographs, and maintenance. Eligible for a $7,500 sign-on bonus; clinic hours Mon–Thu 7:30 am–5:30 pm.

We offer medical, dental, 401k, FSA, PTO, CE allowance and loan repayment eligibility. Requirements include an active Oregon RDH license, BLS, and strong communication skills; two years' experience preferred and nitrous and digital radiography

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room and patient for hygiene treatment.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.

Job description

At Arrow Dental, LLC, we're passionate about helping you on your journey to be better. We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to work full time at our Dental Clinic in Eugene. This position will promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning and periodontal maintenance; provides oral cancer screenings; takes radiographs; charts existing conditions, decay and disease; performs procedures in compliance with the dental practice act. Arrow Dental is currently offering a sign on bonus of $7,500 for this position.

Arrow Dental is an Oregon-based dental care organization that offers routine care, restorative therapy and other specialty services to Medicaid and private insurance members throughout the state of Oregon.

Clinic hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am-5:30pm.

Pay Range:

$48.96 to $61.20 per hour (depending on experience). Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Primary Functions

• Prepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols
• Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing and seating patient
• Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests
• Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment
• Selects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Completes dental prophys and periodontal scaling and root planning as appropriate
• Completes periodontal charting and takes radiographs
• Applies fluoride and other cavity-preventing agents as necessary
• Maintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by cleaning and polishing removable appliances
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies
• Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital sign and medical and dental histories; charting in patient records
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Maintains safe and clean working environment; complies with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols
• Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer’s instructions; maintains equipment inventories
• Maintains hygiene supplies inventory; places orders for supplies; verifies receipt of supplies
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
• Other duties as assigned
