Join to apply for the Dental Hygienist - $48-$55/hour role at DirectDental.

We are seeking to hire a Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice. You will assist the dentist in various procedures and operate x-ray machines. To succeed in this role, you should have a current state hygiene license and previous experience as a dental hygienist.

Compensation Package: $48-$55+ per hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean teeth and beneath gum margins using dental instruments to remove accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains.
• Review and note patient medical histories.
• Use probes to examine gums for signs of periodontal disease.
• Record dental decay and diseases for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Maintain dental equipment and x-ray machines.
• Examine gums for signs of disease, sores, and other issues.
• Promote preventative dental care to enhance patient oral health.
• Apply fluorides and other decay prevention agents.
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants.
• Maintain a dental hygiene program for patients.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited hygiene program.
• State hygiene license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to administer local anesthetics.
• Experience with x-ray machines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable with computer tasks.
• Knowledge of oral hygiene and dental health.
