Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing while adhering to infection control protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient treatment plans and progress notes accurately in Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Assist in maintaining an aseptic environment by following infection control procedures.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission for medical coding.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Experience in patient assessment and documentation review is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
