Hours: 7:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Thursdays

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at our DC location. Drs. Kaihara, Watkins, and Wang are looking for a hygienist to work Thursdays from 7:15 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for expansion. Our practice specializes in prosthodontics. The ideal candidate is licensed in DC as a Registered Dental Hygienist, preferably with two years of experience. Punctuality, organization, ambition, strong communication skills, and a passion for patient interaction are essential. Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and ensure their comfort
• Discuss treatment plans and answer patient questions
• Prepare sterilized equipment and maintain sharpened instruments
• Perform periodontal charting (Florida Probe)
• Update medical histories and perform preliminary exams
• Assess patients for gum disease, cavities, and infections
• Create digital scans and take x-rays (FMX, Panorex, BWX)
• Assist the dentist during procedures
• Follow all health and safety regulations and office policies

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree from a CODA-accredited program (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred)
• Current DC Dental Hygienist license
• 1-2 years of dental hygiene experience
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
