Job summary

Today's Family Dental in Waco, TX is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our collaborative team. We offer full-time, flexible hours in a welcoming environment with strong patient focus and supportive mentorship.

You will perform standard hygiene procedures, take and interpret patient records, and provide preventive care using advanced technology and ongoing education. Training and a robust support system help you grow your clinical skills and deliver exceptional lifetime care.

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in TX and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide 60 min recare appointments and 90 min new patient appointments
• Autonomy for SRP and comprehensive periodontal care
• Deliver lifetime dental care and education to patients
• Support team with best-in-class clinical practices and accuracy

60 min recare, 90 min new patient appts and autonomy for SRP.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in TX and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• New Graduate or years of clinical experience
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
