Job summary

Taylor Dental & Braces - a Benevis company in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric-focused practice. You will deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient, perform scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays, sealants, fluoride, and related procedures under general dentist supervision, and offer same-day care when possible.

Applicants must hold a current state Dental Hygienist license and CPR/BLS certification (hands-on skills assessment required at hire).

Qualifications

• Current state Dental Hygienist license.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association with hands-on skills assessment required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient.
• Perform scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays, sealants, fluoride application and related procedures under general dentist supervision.
• Offer same-day care whenever possible to provide excellent customer service.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene.
• Assess dental condition and review patients' medical history.
• Guide parents and patients through the full treatment process.
• Assist with dental and periodontal charting as needed.
• Take and file x-rays in patient charts as needed.

What You’ll Do As a Dental Hygienst

• Deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient
