Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Dental Hygienist to deliver high-quality dental care inside an institutional setting. The role emphasizes direct patient contact and preventive dentistry for inmates/residents in a secure environment.

Licensure in the state, a valid driver's license preferred, and ability to work with inmates/residents are required, with at least 18 years old. CoreCivic remains a Drug-Free Workplace & EOE.

Responsibilities

• Perform scaling, cleaning and polishing of teeth.
• Render treatment to gums and tissue surrounding teeth.
• Develop and conduct a dental health education program, instruct inmates/residents in preventive dental techniques
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Take impressions for study casts
• Spend a minimum of 75% of time performing duties which involve direct contact with inmates/residents.
