Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited dental-hygiene program.
• Active Texas Dental Hygienist license or eligibility.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Dental radiology qualifications required for assigned duties.
• Knowledge of periodontal care and preventive dentistry.
• Strong patient-education and communication abilities.
• Commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive care.
• Experienced hygienists and qualified recent graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult and pediatric dental cleanings.
• Complete periodontal assessments and charting.
• Remove plaque, calculus, and stains.
• Provide scaling and root planing when clinically appropriate.
• Take and process dental radiographs.
• Apply fluoride and preventive treatments.
• Educate patients regarding oral hygiene and disease prevention.
• Review medical histories and identify relevant health concerns.
• Document findings and treatment accurately.
• Collaborate with dentists on patient treatment plans.
• Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Support community oral-health education when needed.
