Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
• Active state dental hygiene license.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records.
• Experience working in a dental operatory, with cleanings and assessments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and exposure to dental materials.
• Collaborative and patient-focused with rapport-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventive care including cleaning, X-rays, fluoride, and periodontal therapy.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care recommendations.
• Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans with the dentist.
• Maintain accurate clinical records of assessments, treatments and recommendations.
• Follow infection control protocols and keep the operatory clean and organized.
• Stay informed about advances in hygiene techniques and tools.
• Support clinical team with inventory checks and supplies stocking.
• Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere for patients and team members.
