DENTAL HYGIENIST

Join our staff of talented and dedicated individuals who serve in four of our service site areas in ST. LOUIS, MO working to assist patients with making positive health changes every day.

The Dental Hygienist is committed to serving through strong team leadership the improvement of the oral health and habits of our community.

SCHEDULE:  Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

SALARY RANGE:  $66,100 - $75,000 (Dental Hygienist I - less than 7 years of experience) and $69,300 - $78,100 (Dental Hygienist II - more than 7 years of experience)

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Must have either a certificate or Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited school of Dental Hygiene
• Must have a current license issued by the State of Missouri

Experience:

• 1-4 yrs experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact required

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Assess patient’s present oral condition, provide oral cancer screen and periodontal assessment.
•  Scale and polish teeth. Provide periodontal evaluation and deep cleaning if required.
• Provide caries risk assessment and determine patient’s health risk behaviors including tobacco usage and alcohol consumption.
• Provide detailed oral health care instructions to include appropriate age education and behavior counseling.
• Conduct dental health promotional programs, disease screenings, distribute appropriate health promotion literature
