Role Description

The Dental Hygienist is a full-time, on‑site role based in Rochester, WA, responsible for delivering high‑quality preventive dental care and education to patients of all ages. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, and other hygiene procedures according to clinical guidelines. The role involves reviewing medical and dental histories, taking and charting periodontal measurements, and collaborating with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans. The Dental Hygienist will provide patient education on oral hygiene techniques, periodontal disease prevention, and overall dental care, while maintaining accurate clinical records. Additional responsibilities include adhering to infection control protocols, preparing and maintaining operatory and instruments, and contributing to a positive, efficient team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment plans.
• Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive care procedures.
• Experience assessing and managing Periodontal Disease, including periodontal charting and non‑surgical therapy.
• Active state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Washington and current CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of infection control, OSHA standards, and best practices in a clinical dental setting.
• Comfort working with dental software for charting and scheduling, and accurate documentation of patient care.
• Strong communication and patient education skills, with the ability to explain procedures and home‑care instructions clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrate professionalism, and provide respectful, inclusive care to all patients.
