Position Highlights

• Pay: $41.26 – $60.76 per hour (DOE)
• Additional pay for bilingual skills, paid on hours worked

What You’ll Do

• Provide preventative periodontal care, including scaling, prophylaxis, root planing, sealants, and application of preventative agents.
• Perform expanded functions as permitted by licensure, including placing and carving restorations and managing temporary crowns.
• Take and manage dental X‑rays; complete periodontal charting and maintain accurate patient records.
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia as needed.
• Educate and counsel patients on oral hygiene and preventative care; develop dental hygiene treatment plans in collaboration with providers.
• Assist providers during exams and ensure operatories and instruments meet infection control standards.
• Support clinic efficiency, quality initiatives, and compliance with TJC, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program or an active Dental Hygiene License with Restorative Function Endorsement.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at a level 10.
• Knowledge of standard dental practices and current hygiene concepts.
• Ability to deliver care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
• High level of manual dexterity and coordination.
• Basic computer proficiency (Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, Excel).
