Job summary

Timber Dental is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our hygiene team in Portland, OR (Bethany). This part-time role focuses on preventative care, patient education, and building lasting relationships through high-quality clinical work.

You will perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, take radiographs, and educate patients on home care while adhering to infection control protocols. Schedule is Mondays and Fridays, reporting to Nicole Kobayashi.

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the applicable state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing.
• Conduct periodontal charting and patient assessments.
• Take and review digital radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and preventative treatments.
• Identify and communicate areas of concern to the doctor.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing
