Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and fostering a calm, respectful and nurturing environment for both patients as well as our whole team.

We are patients centered and dedicated to providing the best care for our patients.

Pay

• $40 - $48 per hour

Shift & Schedule

• Flexible schedule
• No weekend shifts
• Work Hours: Monday to Thursday -hours can be discussed
• Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
• Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.

Requirements

• License & Certification: Driver’s license, Licensed dental hygienist

Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health of patients.
• Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safe treatment procedures.
• Assist with chairside procedures such as four-handed dentistry and medical imaging to support the dentist during treatments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to procedures.
• Follow strict infection control protocols utilizing aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
• Manage and ensuring the sterilization of your instruments.
• Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and current best practices in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, some dental coding, and documentation review processes.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols within a dental office environment.
• Familiarity with imaging techniques relevant to dental diagnostics.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health and treatment plans.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
