Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. is looking for a talented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our fast-paced facility!

Summary: The Dental Hygienist provides patients with primary, cost-effective oral health cleaning for the prevention of oral disease.

Hours: This is a full-time position requiring a flexible schedule. Hours may vary Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays, ranging from 8 am to 8 pm.

Pay Range: Commensurate with experience

Position Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Prepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
2. Prepare patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping the patient.
3. Provide information and educate patients on dental hygiene best practices.
4. Maintain instrumentation by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
5. Select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patient’s oral health.
6. Complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins.
7. Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease and assess levels of recession; exposing and developing radiographic studies.
8. Arrest tooth decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
9. Employ the highest standards of professional thinking, bearing, conduct, and appearance.
10. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
11. Assist Dentist with any dental/medical emergencies.
12. Create and promote the company image through exercising sound, ethical business practices related to patients, doctors, and the medical community at large.

Experience and Skills:

Position Requirements:

• Valid NJ RDH and X-Ray license
• Valid NJ driver’s license
• Strong computer skills; knowledge of EPIC is a plus
• Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
