Job summary

Heartland Dental’s Machesney Park Family Dental is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a patient‑focused team. You’ll deliver high‑quality hygiene care, screen patients, and document histories while leveraging best-in-class clinical support and mentorship to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Current IL dental hygienist license.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.
• CPR Certification required.
• Excellent knowledge of dentistry and hygiene procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care to patients.
• Educate patients on oral health and preventative care.
• Document medical history and treatment plans in EMR.
• Participate in mentor programs and ongoing clinical education.

Machesney Park Family Dental is in need of a hygienist! We are open Monday-Thursday but flexible to your needs!

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in ILand an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
