Job summary

KIMBERLY A PHELPS DMD PA is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in Florida. You will screen patients, perform cleanings, and assist dentists with exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate is state-licensed and has 1–2 years of experience, with a friendly, patient‑centered approach to create a fantastic dental experience. Qualifications include an accredited associate degree, current licensure, HIPAA knowledge, and the ability to stand and bend for long periods.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from CODA-accredited program.
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure required.
• 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience preferred.
• Solid HIPAA knowledge and safety compliance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to administer Local Anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and create a comfortable treatment area.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and address questions.
• Prepare sterilized equipment and provide to the dentist for exams.
• Take vital signs and record medical histories accurately.
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories.
• Evaluate gum disease, cavities, and infection signs.
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments.
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques.
• Create dental impressions and take X-rays.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and office policies.

• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
