Job summary

Cross Street Family Dentistry in Peabody, MA is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our caring team. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, take x-rays, and assist dentists with exams and procedures in a patient‑centered environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active RDH license, has 1–2 years of hygiene experience, and is friendly, detail‑oriented, and compliant with HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from a CODA‑accredited program
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure
• 1–2 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer questions
• Prep sterilized equipment
• Accurately record medical histories
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
• Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques
• Take x‑rays
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
