Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist in Minnesota to join a growing Hygiene team. You will provide preventive care, educate patients, and collaborate with doctors to optimize patient outcomes.

The role offers a 4-day schedule with flexibility for part-time Mondays, a supportive team, and access to mentorship and CE opportunities in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota dental hygienist license.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
• Strong knowledge of dentistry and hygiene procedures.
• CPR certification.
• Experience with digital scanners and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care.
• Screen patients and document medical histories.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop patient treatment plans.
• Maintain digital records and x-ray images.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Minnesota
• and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures
• Dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification
• Preferred Experience: Experienced and New Grads welcome to apply
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
