Job summary

Benevis is hiring a Dental Hygienist in Hampton, VA. You will deliver high-quality patient care, perform prophylaxis and radiographs, and educate families about oral health as part of a team under a dentist's supervision.

Required licensure and CPR/BLS certification. Competitive pay with a $5,000 sign-on bonus, bi-weekly production bonuses, proscribed benefits, and ongoing CE support are offered.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification from ARC or AHA with hands-on skills assessment.
• Ability to work under general dentist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient.
• Perform scaling, prophylaxis, x-rays, sealants, fluoride application under supervision.
• Provide same-day care when possible and educate patients on oral hygiene.
• Review medical history and guide patients through treatment.
• Assist with charting, take and file x-rays, follow regulations and standards.

What You’ll Do As a Dental Hygienst

• Deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient
• Perform scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays, sealants, fluoride application, and related procedures under general dentist supervision
• Offer same-day care whenever possible to provide excellent customer service
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene
• Assess dental condition and needs, and review patients' medical history
• Guide parents and patients through the full treatment process
• Assist with dental and periodontal charting as needed
• Take and file x-rays in patient charts as needed
• Follow all government regulations and company standards

What You’ll Need

• Current state Dental Hygienist license
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, including a hands‑on skills assessment (required at hire)
