Job summary

Glen Carbon Family Dentistry, part of Heartland Dental LLC, seeks a Dental Hygienist in Glen Carbon, IL. The schedule spans Mon-Wed 7:30 am-5:30 pm, Thu 6:30 am-4:30 pm, and some Fridays.

The office operates as a 1-doctor practice using Dentrix with 60-minute recare and 90-minute new patient appointments. Full-time equals a minimum of 30 hours with benefits including UnitedHealthcare PPO, paid holidays, 401(k), dental, vision, wellness, and more.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois dental hygienist license and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• CPR Certification
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene care and patient education in a 1:1 or small group setting
• Maintain patient records using Dentrix and other practice software
• Assist in delivering high-quality preventive dental services and screenings

Glen Carbon Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team.

Location: 4235 S. State Route 159, Glen Carbon,Illinois62034

Work Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 7:30 am-5:30 pm, Thursday 6:30 am-4:30 pm, Fridays 2x a month 7:30 am-12:30 pm

1 doctor practice, utilizing Dentrix!

60min recare, 90min new patient appointment!

Bi-weekly pay + the ability to opt into Daily Pay to receive paychecks as earned.

Ability to earn daily + quarterly bonuses!

We have Arestin, iTero, Velscope + CE coverage available!

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Illinois and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)


• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation


• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems


• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health


• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position


• Prolonged periods sitting and standing


• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times


• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
