Christie Dental of Meadowcrest is seeking a friendly Dental Hygienist to join our 14-person team in Crystal River, FL. The position offers a part-time schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri with morning to late afternoon hours, in a busy operatory setting with multiple dentists and hygienists.

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Florida.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
• Local Anesthesia Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient dental hygiene care and exams.

• Document medical history and patient screenings.
• Maintain patient education and preventive care.

• Wednesday 7:30am-5:00pm
• Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Florida and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• Local Anesthesia Certification
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• 2-3 years of prior Dental Hygiene experience
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
