A well-established dental practice is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to provide direct patient care and support office operations. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality, compassionate dental care and fostering positive patient experiences within a general dentistry setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including scaling, prophylaxis, x-rays, and the application of sealants and fluoride, under the general supervision of a dentist.
- Provide exceptional patient service, identifying opportunities for same-day care when appropriate.
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene instructions.
- Assess the dental condition and needs of patients and meticulously review their medical history.
- Adhere to all relevant government regulations and professional standards.
- Guide patients and parents through the treatment process.
- Assist with dental and periodontal charting as needed.
- Take x-rays and accurately save them into patient charts when necessary.
- Contribute to creating memorable patient experiences through compassionate care.
Requirements
- Current and in-good-standing licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, including hands-on skill assessment.
