Responsibilities

• Perform licensed hygiene procedures, educate patients, and manage the nonsurgical periodontal program as directed by the dentist.
• Establish and maintain ongoing patient care relationships.
• Verify/document patient health history and educate patients about oral health, procedures, and services.
• Perform clinical hygiene functions such as X-rays, blood pressure measurement, prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and assist with restorative treatments.
• Apply sealants, Arestin, and fluoride treatments as needed.

Qualifications

• Dental hygiene certification from an accredited school.
• Current hygiene license.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training.
• Experience with dental software.
