Pay Range

This range is provided by Chase Brexton Health Care. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience; please discuss with your recruiter.

Base pay range: $93,600.00/year - $114,400.00/year

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed dentist, provide preventive dental care and education. Perform general dental hygiene duties including recalls, scaling/root planning, sealant placement, and off-site screening. Supervise dental assistants off-site and coordinate with dental office managers for ongoing care.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide effective dental hygiene and screening to all patients
• Exercise appropriate treatment and referral practices

Compliance, Policy, and Procedure

• Follow established hygiene and screening schedules

Patient Care

• Communicate effectively with patients

Communication

• Maintain productive communication with supervisors and colleagues

Checking, Examining, and Recording

• Document concise, complete, and clinically relevant information, including treatment rationale
• Document community or school-based educational services, including assessment of learning outcomes

Willingness to Learn

• Use feedback to improve teaching methods and plans

Insurance and Billing

• Assist with administrative coordination of insurance billing for off-site services

Outreach

• Coordinate off-site school screening schedules
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program (Bachelor's or AA degree) required
• Current Maryland licensure as a dental hygienist
• Maryland RDH license required
• Local anesthesia certification preferred
• Three years of experience as a dental hygienist preferred
