The role combines strategic leadership with classroom teaching, program oversight, and community engagement to prepare graduates for impactful oral-health careers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• CODA-accredited Dental Hygiene program graduate.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist.
• Current Texas licensure to practice Dental Hygiene.
• Experience in educational methodology and course design.

Responsibilities

• Launch, establish, and align goals for the new Dental Hygiene program with institutional standards.
• Lead CODA accreditation activities and ensure curricula reflect CODA competencies.
• Schedule and chair faculty and advisory board meetings; represent PMI at professional meetings.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate program faculty; assign teaching loads.
• Coordinate with Clinical Director to ensure clinically-based education is current and comprehensive.
• Oversee student success metrics and support services; maintain high retention and outcomes.
