Job summary

Laurel Ridge Community College seeks applicants for a full-time, 9-month faculty position beginning in January 2027 to provide leadership and instruction for the Dental Hygiene program. The Clinical Coordinator will work with college and community partners to shape the program’s direction and future, using various teaching methods and instructional technologies to promote student success.

Qualifications

• CODA-accredited dental hygiene education with a Bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's in any field plus Associate’s in dental hygiene with 2+ years experience.
• Current Virginia dental hygiene license and local anesthesia certification.
• CPR/BLS certification required by hire date.
• Commitment to community college philosophy and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Teach in didactic, clinic and lab courses in multiple formats.
• Facilitate student learning and development outside the classroom.
• Strengthen partnerships with K-12, higher education, industry and community organizations.
• May teach at all Laurel Ridge locations and in evenings/weekends.
