Job summary

Mortenson Dental Partners is seeking a dedicated dental assistant to join our Kentucky practice. You will set up operatories, sterilize rooms, restock supplies, seat patients, take vitals, obtain consents, assist the hygienist, and help schedule the next appointment.

Responsibilities also include reviewing medical and dental histories, providing patient education on oral hygiene, and performing basic lab tasks such as pouring models and fabricating whitening trays, under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Radiology certification and CPR certification must be obtained within the required timeframe.
• A background check and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up a room for all hygiene procedures. Sterilize the room after each patient, and restock the room with supplies for procedures after each appointment.
• Seat patients, take vitals, and obtain consents. Assist the hygienist with patient charting. Schedule the patient's next appointment, and assist with schedule coordination.
• Review medical and dental history. Assist with patient education/oral hygiene instruction.
• Perform lab duties such as pouring models and fabricating whitening trays.
