Bluegrass Oral Health Center is seeking a dependable Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced setting. You will support dental hygienists with daily clinical duties, taking X-rays, preparing rooms, and maintaining records to ensure smooth scheduling and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience preferred.
• X-ray experience preferred.
• Infection control knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Dentrix is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy dental office.
• Dependable, punctual, and team oriented.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Must meet Kentucky clinical duties requirements.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from treatment rooms and prepare them for appointments.
• Take dental X-rays as directed in Kentucky requirements.
• Assist dental hygienists with daily patient care and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and disinfect between patients.
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments following OSHA guidelines.
• Enter recommended treatment into patient charts.
• Maintain patient records in the practice management system.
• Keep hygiene department organized, clean, and stocked.
• Communicate with hygienists, dentists, and staff.
• Provide a welcoming, professional patient experience.
• Assist with other clinical duties as needed.
