Dental Health Associates in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to join our clinical team. This full-time position supports hygienists in delivering quality patient care in a friendly, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or certification in Dental Assisting preferred.
• Radiology certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA & OSHA.
