The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited dental assisting program, CPR (BLS), X-ray certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting.
• Current CPR (BLS).
• X-ray certification.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Possess good interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work effectively with patients and health center staff.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of modern dental materials, their storage, handling and applications.
• Basic knowledge of ADA CDT codes.
• Proper setup and preparation of the operatory and patient for dental examinations and/or treatment.
• Assist the Dental Hygienist and Dentists during dental procedures.
• Conducting postoperative and post-treatment procedures as instructed by the Dentist.
• Accurate dental charting and documentation.
• Proper and accurate technique acquiring x-rays.
• Responsible for sterilization, proper infection control measures, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies.
• Help with Dental Front Office duties.
