Dynamic Dental Smiles is seeking an enthusiastic Hygiene assistant to provide exceptional chair-side support and build positive patient relationships. You will collaborate with doctors and hygienists to ensure smooth procedures, accurate health histories, and proper consent before treatment.

The ideal candidate handles four-handed dentistry tasks, takes radiographs, maintains clean and organized operatory, and participates in patient education and referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Active Dental Assistant license as required by state.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with chair-side manner and teamwork.
• Assist doctor/hygienist with dental procedures and maintain patient service and flow.
• Review patient charts before arrival and document health history and consent.
• Perform four-handed dentistry tasks including temporary crowns, rubber dam, amalgam/restorations, seating prosthodontics, polishing and sealants.
• Take and mount radiographs/intra-oral photos.
• Sterilize and prepare equipment and operatory.
• Track lab cases and monitor/order supplies.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and OSHA BBP safety.
• Educate patients and answer questions to reduce anxiety.
• Assist administrative team with scheduling and referrals.
• Demonstrate computer proficiency.
