Job summary

Specialty1 Partners in Turlock, CA is seeking a Dental Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator to join our busy specialty practice. You will blend front office duties with dental assisting to deliver a world-class patient experience.

You will be able to work 4 days per week and must have 3–5 years of front office/dental experience, knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, OSHA regulations, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Front office experience with dental care
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma
• Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
• Active state radiology license (if required by law)
• Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment
• Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
• Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
• Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
• Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients to the dental office
• Answer the phones professionally
• Preparing patients for treatment and ensuring comfort
• Setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Sterilizing instruments per regulations
• Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Providing oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions
• Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Scheduling appointments and post op visits
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Assisting with payment collection
• Able to work 4 days a week
