Job summary

i4 Dental Lab is seeking a skilled Dental Equipment Technician to maintain, repair, and calibrate dental laboratory and clinical equipment across our facility. You will ensure smooth operations by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and keeping detailed service records.

You will advise staff on proper equipment use, coordinate parts procurement, and support new equipment installation while staying current with evolving dental technology and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental/medical equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair dental lab and clinical equipment including handpieces, milling units, compressors, and related machinery.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
• Coordinate with manufacturers or suppliers for parts procurement, warranty claims, and technical support as needed.
• Ensure all equipment complies with safety and operational standards.
• Provide guidance to staff on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist in evaluating new equipment purchases and installation processes.
