Qualifications

• Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
• Florida RDA or CDA credential obtained prior to May 2009 per state guidelines.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical procedures and treatments.
• Learn and comply with Coast’s administrative procedures.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and MSDS documents.
• Document dental procedures and medical histories as required.
• Escort and prepare patients, scheduling and confirmations.
• Explain insurance benefits and financial options to patients.
• Maintain inventory and ensure operatories are stocked.
• Notify manager of equipment safety issues and malfunctions.
• Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality and hygiene policies.
