Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant III (Lead/Clinic Coordinator) to support dental providers and assist with clinic coordination, staff training, patient flow, supply inventory and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities include chairside assistance, supervising staff, managing workflows, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Washington DOH registration and CPR are required; English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Registration with Washington State DOH required.
• Completion of formal Dental Assistant program or 3+ years experience.
• Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience (or 3+ years without formal training).
• BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire; TB testing annually.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside four-handed dentistry across full range of procedures.
• Lead back-office staff training, scheduling, and workflow.
• Oversee patient flow and customer service.
• Maintain sterilization, OSHA compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Support insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and treatment planning.
• Assist supervisors with policy implementation and quality improvement.
