Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant III / Lead Dental Assistant to support dental providers, lead back-office staff, manage workflow, optimize patient flow, and maintain supplies and equipment.

This role requires WA State DOH Dental Assistant registration, 3+ years in dental assisting (or 2 years with formal training), strong leadership and communication skills, and BLS CPR within 90 days of hire (TB testing annually); bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• WA State DOH Dental Assistant registration required.
• Completion of formal Dental Assistant program or 3+ years experience.
• Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience (or 3+ years without formal training).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• BLS CPR certification within 90 days of hire; TB testing annually.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside dental assistance across procedures.
• Lead and support back-office staff training, scheduling, and workflow.
• Oversee patient flow, reduce bottlenecks, ensure customer service.
• Maintain sterilization, OSHA compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage supply inventory, ordering, and emergency kit logs.
• Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and treatment planning.
• Support supervisors with policy implementation and quality improvement.

Starting Wage

$24.28 per hour
