Job summary

Ember Education in California is seeking a dedicated faculty member to deliver dental assisting courses and uphold program standards. You will ensure alignment with the curriculum, manage attendance and grading, and contribute to program assessment and improvement.

The role requires a CA Registered Dental Assistant with 2+ years of field experience, BLS, and Infection Control knowledge. You will mentor new faculty and collaborate with industry partners to support student success.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Dental Assisting Certificate of Achievement is required.
CA Registered Dental Assistant with at least 2 years of field experience.
BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required.
Radiation Safety knowledge is required.
Coronal Polish and Pit and Fissure treatments may be needed.
Infection Control procedures must be followed.
CA Infection Control knowledge is required.
Two years of field experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivers course material in accordance with the college curriculum.
Fulfills administrative requirements for each course, including attendance and grading.
Uses data to develop program improvement strategies and participates in program evaluation.
Demonstrates willingness to develop proficiency in learning methodologies.
Ensures program adherence to institutional and accreditation standards.
Participates in Industry Advisory Councils and faculty governance.
Builds networks within the local industry for program support.
Engages in student services activities and outreach.
Provides advisement and tutoring to students.
Mentors new faculty and participates in mentoring programs.
Assists in maintaining equipment and books per lists.
Meets program standards for persistence, retention, and placement.
Maintains professionalism and models positive behavior.
Collaborates with campus staff to support learner success.
Attends classes on time and conducts full class periods.
Acts as substitute instructor when needed.
Completes other duties as assigned.
