Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program required.
• Two or more years of dental assistant experience required.
• Coronal Polishing certificate may be required.
• Radiation Safety certificate required.
• CPR certificate required.
• Hepatitis B vaccine or declination.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.
• Knowledge of dental hygiene and sterilization principles.
• Infection Control course within 120 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists by preparing instruments and medications and preparing local anesthetic syringes.
• Take dental x‑rays and perform basic oral surgery procedures.
• Prepare patients for treatment and examination.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control and cleanup.
• Maintain dental records and clinic forms.
