Job summary
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA, seeks a Dental Assistant I to support dental professionals in patient care. Responsibilities include maintaining records, supplies, and equipment; assisting the dentist at chair side; taking and developing dental X-rays; educating patients on oral hygiene and prophylaxis; sterilizing instruments and arranging equipment; and scheduling patient appointments.
The ideal candidate will hold a California Registered Dental Assistant license, Coronal
Qualifications
- Possession of a current Registered Dental Assistant license by the CA Board of Dental Examiners.
- Must possess Coronal Polishing certification.
- Must hold Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update dental records, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist the dentist at chair side.
- Take and develop dental x-rays for diagnostics.
- Instruct patients in proper dental hygiene and prophylaxis.
- Sterilize, care for and arrange dental instruments and accessories.
- Make appointments for patients.
