Dental Assistant West Chester PA
Urgently Hiring

We are looking for a motivated Dental Assistant to join our practice full time in West Chester, PA. This position requires the ability to work well with the public as well as be a part of a dynamic team. Ideally, the incoming dental assistant has good hand-eye coordination, can multitask, has a sense of professionalism, is accurate and detail oriented, a positive attitude and a team player. Must have chairside assisting experience, be fully knowledgeableand fluent in the Dentrix Dental Software and be x-ray certified. Expanded Function Dental Assisting degree is a plus but not critical.

Duties:

• Assist the dentist, or any team member, in completing his or her tasks in a timely and comprehensive manner.
• Greet patients, review today’s procedure and prepare them for their visit
• Assist the dentist in taking any necessary radiographic images and photos
• Assist the dentist in restorative, crown and bridge and removable denture procedures.
• Update and note any changes on the patient’s Medical History
• Make certain that our patients have a comfortable and stress-free visit
• Help patients communicate any concerns or questions to the hygienist or dentist
• Assist in the responsibility of charting and note-taking in the patient’s record which includes any conversations and /or patient concerns
• Set-up and break-down of the treatment rooms
• Help ensure that treatment occurs in a sterile or surgically clean environment
• Assist with equipment maintenance to ensure safety for all team members and our patients.
• Educate the patient about their oral health, preventive therapy, restorative procedures and cosmetic services.
• Willingness to participate in advanced education includingCPR classes and training in OSHA standards

Requirements:

• Chairside dental assistant experience required
• Expanded Function Dental Assisting degree a huge plus
• Must have knowledge and proficiency in Dentrix Dental Software
• Must be X-ray Certified

Schedule:

• Full time with weekend availability (no more than 4-5 days per week)

Salary:

• $45k-$60k annually plus bonus compensation
