Position Summary

As a Dental Assistant, you will support our clinical team by providing patient care, recordkeeping, and scheduling assistance. You will work under the supervision of dentists and collaborate closely with dental hygienists.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist chairside with dental instruments and patient care
  • Maintain inventory in treatment rooms
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines
  • Deliver excellent patient interactions regarding scheduling, follow-up, and post-surgical care
  • Perform basic lab procedures such as taking impressions and preparing cases for external labs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and systems
  • Applicable state licensing (e.g., DRT license for NJ and MD, Radiation Safety certificate for PA) or willingness to pursue immediately
  • Certified Dental Assistant preferred
  • 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for evening and weekend hours
  • X-ray License required
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and patient care
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with professionals and patients
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Work Environment

This role requires standing, walking, and using hands and arms for extended periods. Occasional lifting of 10-25 pounds may be necessary. Travel to various healthcare practices may be required. The environment is typically low to moderate noise.
