Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Dental Assistant for the Viera VA Clinic in Melbourne, FL. The role is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule.

The Dental Assistant will provide chairside support across multiple specialties, handle patient intake and education, and mentor dental trainees in the clinic. Competitive benefits and paid leave are offered.

Qualifications

• Complete a CODA-accredited 1-year dental assistant program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a dental assistant.
• Proficient in four-handed dentistry and assisting with specialty procedures (oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, implants).
• Must have a Dental Radiological Certificate and a current BLS/CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance in all phases of dentistry including prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and endodontics.
• Receive routing patients, record patient care information, and utilize dental programs; provide patient education materials; issue post-op instructions.
• Instruct, assist, and answer questions for dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide services at the Viera VA Clinic in Melbourne, FL.

Requirements

• Dental Assistants shall have successfully completed a one (1) year dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
• Dental Assistants must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant.
• Dental Assistants shall be competent in using four-handed dentistry, assisting with specialty procedures such as oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics and implant placement and restorations
• A Dental Radiological Certificate
• A current BLS and or/CPR card

Responsibilities

• The Dental Assistant shall perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
• The Dental Assistant shall be responsible for receiving routing patients, recording information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing patient with education material related to their care. Following surgical procedures, the dental assistant shall provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions.
• The Dental Assistant shall instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.
