A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DENTAL ASSISTANT

As a Dental Assistant, you are vital to our practice, helping dentists and orthodontists be productive. You arrive daily to a warm, inviting atmosphere where you feel valued. You review the schedule, set up trays and instruments, greet patients, and escort them to their chairs. You assist dentists chairside, prepare patients, take and develop X-rays, and instruct children in good oral hygiene. Your kind demeanor and positive communication build trust with patients and parents. You keep detailed notes, organize records, and enforce infection control by cleaning and sterilizing equipment. You enjoy meeting new people and serving families in your community.

Qualifications for a Dental Assistant

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of dental assistant experience or certification as a registered dental assistant

Preferred qualifications include a dental X-Ray license, radiation safety certification, coronal polishing certification, and experience in practice management and treatment planning.
