Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Infection Control Exam (ICE) taken and passed within 90 days of hire.
• EFDA certification within 18 months of hire is required.
• Dental Radiology Certification within 90 days of hire.
• EFDA certification within 18 months of hire is required.
• Infection control knowledge within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up and record periodontal charting per Provider’s instructions.
• Maintain patient dental records and update medical history and vital signs.
• Prepare and set up instruments and equipment for patient treatment.
• Provide education and counsel in oral hygiene for patients.
• Assist in infection control program, including sterilization and autoclave maintenance.
• Perform four-handed dental assisting within 90 days of hire.
• Contribute to other duties as assigned.
