Job summary

Harbor Health Services, Inc. in Hyannis is offering a paid on-the-job training opportunity to become a licensed Dental Assistant.

The Dental Assistant Trainee (DAT) will be trained through Harbor Health's program at Harbor Community Health Center - Hyannis, with the salary of $18.00 per hour during training and training costs/licensure fees covered. The role involves supervised clinical duties, infection control, radiography preparation, and patient intake, with progression toward full dental

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Computer literate with basic Windows skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Never licensed or registered as a dentist, dental hygienist, or dental assistant (BORID restriction).

Responsibilities

• Review medical charts with provider and document intake.
• Prepare clinical areas for treatment.
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists.
• Enter patient data into EDR per training and protocol.
• Maintain infection control procedures and inventory per protocol.
• Assist with radiographic preparation and licensure steps as applicable.
