Job summary

Aspen Hill Modern Dentistry in Aspen Hill, MD is hiring a Dental Assistant to learn and perform basic duties under the supervision of a licensed dentist. You will support patient care, maintain infection control, and help with radiographs and charting as you gain important clinical experience.

No prior dental experience is required and customer service experience is preferred. This role offers a path to skill development with a team of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under direct supervision of the licensed dentist.
• Attend to patients to support a positive patient experience.
• Implement infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed after radiation safety requirements are met.
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide chairside support.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records and health history to the dentist prior to treatment.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and other regulations.
