Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Dental Assistant in Athens, GA to support dental providers in a correctional setting. You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, and maintain records in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include radiographs, sterilization, inventory, scheduling, and patient education. Requires CPR/BLS and a High School diploma or GED, with 1–3 years of relevant experience in a regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during dental procedures.
• Develop and process dental radiographs as per provider orders.
• Monitor and maintain dental equipment, including radiographic developing equipment and sterilizers.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring OSHA standards.
• Schedule patient appointments, maintain dental charts, and record dental findings.
• Manage inventory of dental clinic supplies and ensure proper storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental area for a safe environment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.

This role ensures compliance with infection control standards, facility policies, and state regulations while promoting efficient clinic operations.
